Step-by-step guides
Short guides with screenshots, one task at a time. They work the same on iPhone and Android, with notes where something is different.
Getting started
- Create your Domesio account and sign in
Make a free account with your email, or sign in with Apple on iPhone or Google on Android.
- Make your first inventory in Domesio
Create an inventory for one part of your home, like the pantry or the garage, and pick the type that fits what you keep there.
- A quick tour of the Domesio app
What the Home, Inventories, List, and Account tabs do, and where to find everything else.
Inventory
- Add items and change quantities
Add things to an inventory, then change how many you have with the plus and minus buttons.
- Add a location to an inventory
Sort items by where they live, like Top shelf or Garage, and move them when they move.
- Edit item details: units, notes, tags, favorites
Add a unit, store, notes, tags, and more to an item, and mark the things you buy all the time as favorites.
- Add your own fields and save a template
Track details that matter to you, like Vintage for wine or Author for books, and reuse them in new inventories.
- Scan a barcode to add an item
Point your phone at a product's barcode and add it to your shopping list or an inventory without typing.
- See what's running low
Set a low-stock amount on the items you never want to run out of, and see them all in one place.
- Track expiration dates
Add an expiration date to an item, see what's expiring soon in your inventory, and browse it by month in the calendar.
Shopping list
- Use the shopping list
Add what you need, check it off in the store, and tap Bought to put it back in your inventory.
Sharing
- Invite people to your household
Share your inventories and shopping list with the people you live with, and pick what each person can do.
