Share a recipe
Send one recipe to anyone with a link, even if they don't use Domesio. They get the full recipe and a one-tap way to save it.
Takes about 1 minute
Share one recipe by link with anyone, by text, WhatsApp, or however you'd send a link. People who already use Domesio can save it to their own recipes with one tap. People who don't can see the full recipe and get Domesio.
Steps
- Open the recipe's menu. On a recipe, tap the ⋯ button, then Share link.
- Turn on the link. The first time, this creates the link. Your phone's share sheet opens so you can send it anywhere.
- Send it. Pick Messages, email, or any app, or copy the link.
Tips
- The link is read-only and public. Anyone with it can view the recipe and save it. It never shows your household name, your other recipes, or your inventory.
- A saved recipe is a copy. Changes you make later don't update what the other person saved.
- Turn off the link from the same ⋯ menu once it's shared, or Get new link to replace it (the old link stops working).
- Only editors can share. Viewers can see Share link isn't there for them, the same as Edit and Delete.
- If someone doesn't have Domesio yet, the link's page offers the App Store, Google Play, and a free account on the web. If they just signed up, Domesio offers to save the recipe for them.
On the web
Open Recipes, use the row's ⋯ menu, and tap Share link. The same Turn on, Get new link, and Turn off controls are there, plus a copy-link button.
